An Empirical Analysis of Economic Development and Environmental Pollution Factors
-- Taking Z Province as an Example
Keywords:
Economic development and environmental pollution, Economic developmentAbstract
In this article, sulfur dioxides were referred as one of significant indicators to Z province, SO2 emissions, Total wastewater discharge, Ammonia nitrogen emission (NH3-N), and Chemical oxygen demand emissions (COD). Through empirical analysis, it is concluded that there is a significant relationship between SO2 emissions, total wastewater discharge, and GDP per capita, while NH3-N emissions, COD emissions, and GDP per capita show no significant relationship. Based on the research, three suggestions were made for an innovative economy, a circular economy, and a low-carbon economy. By saving energy, reducing pollution emissions, developing new energy sources, and optimizing the industrial structure, the economy of Z province will be green and sustainable.
