This paper uses the data of overseas experience of senior executives from 2010 to 2021 to study the impact of overseas experience of senior executives on corporate social responsibility (CSR) by establishing a multivariate linear model. The study found that the overseas return experience of senior executives has improved the CSR. The specific performance is that enterprises with overseas return experience of senior executives will fulfill the CSR to a greater extent than those without. Moreover, the higher the proportion of overseas returnees, the better the CSR performance. Judging from the sub-indicators of CSR, the overseas return experience of senior executives can promote employee responsibility, partner and consumer responsibility and environmental responsibility. Further analysis shows that: (1) the senior management of returnees can promote the fulfillment of CSR in the two-in-one enterprise; (2) Both state-owned and non-state-owned returnees' executives can significantly improve CSR, but the marginal effect of state-owned enterprises is stronger. This paper not only provides a reference for enterprises to hire talents, but also brings new thinking for Chinese enterprises to better perform CSR.
