Abstract

"Legal Orientalism" is an extended discussion of "Orientalism" from the legal perspective, which is still the result of westerners' imagination of the East. "Legal Orientalism" has a very strong misinterpretation. It asserts that China is impossible, that China's concept of law is confusing, and that the West has the legitimacy and universality of a legal order. Then, it will lead into the quagmire of "self-orientalization". Finally, in the perspective of Lacan's theory of mirror image, expand the orientalism "law" to the "Oriental legal doctrine" answering, to construct the inevitability of the self as a liquid variant, and homogeneous, and relationship with rivers of consciousness, finally completed the construction of the self, the concrete from national consciousness awakening and avoid Orientalize "self", Then to how to make Chinese law become the subjectivity of the three aspects to describe the path of Self-construction.
