Abstract

The establishment of jurisdiction is the premise on which the International Court of Justice settles international disputes. Does ‘consent’ have a role to play in the enforcement of the court’s decisions, as they are sometimes not effectively enforced by the states concerned. This paper will explore the role of ‘consent ‘in the application of jurisdiction.
